Finance
The Finance Team ensures the effective management of all financial operations within the Assembly, supporting transparency, compliance, and accountability. We maintain financial records, provide financial support across all divisions—particularly in the EU claims process and Technical Assistance recoupment—and oversee budget preparation.
We are responsible for preparing the Annual Financial Statements in accordance with Article 58 of the Establishment Order, as well as the Annual Assembly Budget under Article 56 of the Establishment Order. Financial records are maintained in compliance with Section 115(2)(a) of the Local Government Act 2001, ensuring they are audit-ready for review by the Local Government Auditor.
We also manage the timely processing of payments, statutory financial returns, and Travel and Subsistence claims for both employees and Assembly members, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation. Additionally, we maintain financial reporting records for the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and other regulatory bodies.
Through careful financial oversight, we play a key role in supporting the Assembly’s operations and delivering its strategic objectives.
