Warmer Homes
Scheme

The Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme 2021-27 is supporting owner-occupiers of residential homes in or at risk of fuel poverty through SEAI’s Warmer Homes scheme. The funding support under the Regional Programme is focused on deep retrofitting activities, enhancing energy efficiency and reducing energy costs. The aim is to improve the living conditions of vulnerable households while contributing to a greener, low-carbon economy. Through retrofitting, the Programme seeks to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, helping to achieve national and EU climate goals across the Programme Area.

The deep retrofitting activity aims to significantly increase the energy efficiency of homes, helping owner-occupiers in or at risk of fuel poverty reduce their fuel consumption and costs.

This initiative, delivered by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) under the Warmer Homes scheme, will provide comprehensive upgrades to improve insulation, heating systems, and energy performance. By reducing the energy required to heat homes, the retrofitting programme supports the transition to a low-carbon economy, helping Ireland meet its climate goals while improving living standards for vulnerable households.n view and download all documents.
