Priority – 04

Priority 4 aims to improve energy efficiency in the housing stock of the Southern & Eastern regions. Approximately €121.7 million of the Programme budget (50% ERDF/ 50% Irish Exchequer) is allocated to supports under this priority.

Objective:

  • Improve energy efficiency in the housing stock in Southern & Eastern regions..

Result Indicators:

  • Average thermal performance of housing units in the region.

Implementation Schemes:

  • Better Energy Warmer Homes: Improve energy efficiency for households at risk, reducing energy expenditure and contributing to health, well-being, and poverty reduction. Other objectives are to improve health and well-being, while reducing the amount of disposal income spent on energy and also to make a positive contribution to reducing poverty in at-risk households. (Intermediate Body: Department of Communications, Climate Action & Environment, delivered by Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland)
