Listen back to Professor Aonghus McNabola, the Lead partner and principal investigator for the Dŵr Uisce project who was interviewed by Near FM in relation to the Dŵr Uisce project and EU funding. Aonghus talked about the project which is being conducted at Trinity College Dublin, and the ultimate aims of it.  He speaks of the many ways in which the project has helped various other projects, including for the preservation of historic artifacts.

The Dŵr Uisce – Distributing our Water Resources: Utilising Integrated, Smart and low-Carbon Energy project, which is part funded by the Ireland Wales Co-operation Programme 2014-2020 and aims to improve the efficiency of the water distribution network.

Near FM is part of Near Media Co-op, a not-for-profit community media project operating across the northside of Dublin City and beyond. Part of the Near Media Co-Op mission is to encourage groups to use community media as a tool in their development work and aims to reflect the issues, events and stories important in the local area. This project is a collaboration with Radio Dreyeckland in Germany, EMA in Spain, Radio Popolare in Italy, Radio Student Slovenia, Civil Radio  Hungary and us, Near FM. With all stations reporting on more cohesive regions within our respective countries across the EU.
