Join Southern Regional Assembly and Munster Technological University for Bioeconomy Ireland Week in Waterford on Tuesday, 15th October from 9.30am to 2pm for our workshop ‘Towards 2030: Developing a Circular Bioeconomy Governance Model for our Communities, Cities and Regions’.
The Bioeconomy Action Plan 2023-2025 aims to set out a pathway to implementation of Ireland’s long term vision and guiding principles to develop the bioeconomy as set out in the National Policy Statement on the Bioeconomy.
Our workshop will consist of presentations from key stakeholders in the Irish bioeconomy and will be followed by a beta validation workshop of two of the tools in development by the ROBIN Project to support regions to develop bioeconomy governance models and strategies – the Circular Bioeconomy Governance Model Canvas and the Policy Monitoring Tool.
Our speakers:
Liz Gavin, NuaFund – Funding assistance and opportunities for bioeconomy research and innovation projects and ideas.
Ajay Sutrakar – Biomethane for Carbon and Community Project/Biomethane Development Office
Joanna O’Riordan – Presentation on findings of an EPA-funded research project reviewing circular economy and bioeconomy governance in Ireland. The research findings were informed by case studies of comparable, European countries.
