The Southern Regional Assembly in conjunction with An Taisce Green School and Waterford Institution of Technology invite you to join the “The Youth Voice – Joining the conversation on Sustainable Transport in Waterford” at our webinar at 10.00 – 12.30 on Thursday 25th February 2020.

This event will give a voice to the young people of Waterford to speak about their experience of sustainable transport in terms of the work they are involved in, the challenges they are facing to travel sustainably and the opportunities to improve sustainable transport. JOIN US – https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/8991174285173040143

We hope that primary, secondary and third level students, teachers and parents will join us on the day to voice their opinions on sustainable transport in Waterford.  We will be hearing from students in Waterford talking about the work they are undertaking with the Green Schools Travel Programme, discussing the cycling gender gap in secondary schools and hearing about the interesting research currently underway in Waterford Institute of Technology regarding active travel.

We will be joined on the day by an impressive panel of policy and decision makers who will be discussing the issues raised and hopefully providing some solutions to encourage and support young people who wish to engage in active travel.

If you wish to put a question to our panel then please email your question with your name and the name of your school to cconnaughton@southernassembly.ie by 18th February 2020.
